Your first workspace

Name it, connect a model, meet your first bot and invite your people.

The first time you sign in, Sugabots walks you through five short steps. Only an admin can finish them, and the first account on an installation is always the admin.

The five steps

  1. Name your workspace

    Something like "The Smiths' bots" or "Acme Support". You can rename it later in Settings → General.

  2. Connect a model

    Bots need a model to think with. Pick Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter or Ollama, then paste an API key, or give Ollama's address if it runs on your own machine. You can Skip for now and add one later in Settings → Models.

  3. Make your first bot

    Give it a colour, some eyes and a name, then say what it should help with: Inbox, Research, Planning, Reminders or something else. This bot lives in your Personal pod, so it's yours alone.

  4. Bring your friends

    Type in some email addresses and Sugabots sends each person an invite. They join as members. Or Skip for now.

  5. Start chatting

    Your bot is ready and says hello.

After onboarding

A few good next steps:

  • Create a shared pod for a group, and add people to it once your installation is hosted.
  • Make more bots, each with its own job and model.
  • Plug in a connection, like Linear or Notion, so bots can work with your apps.

Invites expire after two days. You can Resend them from Settings → Members.
