What is Sugabots?
A workspace where people and AI bots work together, in shared spaces called pods.
Sugabots is a group chat where some of the members are bots. You give each bot a job, a model to think with and the tools it may use. Then you, your team, your family or your flatmates talk to them together.
It's open source and self-hosted. Your chats, settings and API keys live in your own database, and messages only go to the model providers you choose.
A pod, taken apart
Everything happens in a pod: a shared space for a group of people and their bots. Pick a part to see how it fits.
Everyone also has a Personal pod that only they can see. Nobody else can see it, admins included.
What it looks like
Here's the Family pod on a Thursday evening. Mum asks for flights, and Trip Planner gets Budget Keeper's opinion before it books anything.
Three things happened there:
- Everyone saw the same chat. A bot's chat belongs to the pod, not to one person.
- One bot asked another. Trip Planner wrote to Budget Keeper on its own, and anyone can open that exchange and read it.
- Nothing was booked without asking. When a bot wants to change something through a tool, it waits for a person to allow it.
